Antique Armor Bronze German Shappard style dog bookend , uniquely produced by Armor Bronze Co. Base covered in felt.. Quite Heavy, very good aged, delight patina. Thickly bronze electroplated over a plaster core. Although base has not been examined. research finds that perhaps on base, under felt could be a small depression or not. Apparently this object was costly from production to inception, and did not survive the Depression. They would attract collectors, and most likely a lost art in book end history. 7" x 6" x 3.5"
